A Little About Me….
I grew up in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. My father was a trim carpenter and one of my grandmothers owned and operated an antique store so I was exposed to Home Furnishings and design at a young age. I would often help my Dad build furniture for our home and I would work with my grandmother in her store—probably my first real merchandising job.
I studied at the University of North Texas, where I first dabbled in interior design, but quickly ended up just taking two semesters of fine arts courses before committing to a degree in Home Furnishings Merchandising.
Upon completion of the program I started as an intern with Global Views,LLC in 2009. While there I had the opportunity to work with and learn from many talented professionals. Over the course of my tenure with Global Views I was able to not only excel at visual merchandising, but also showroom planning, catalog layout. photo styling, floral design, and product design and development with allowed me to travel to over 7 different countries on various buying and design trips. I also had the privilege of working as a license brand liaison to develop collections with Ann Gish, Barbara Barry, MCFChan, and WILLIAMSBURG.
In 2018, my career took a turn down a different path and I went to work for RAZ Imports, a leader in the seasonal decor industry, as the visual manager and eventually the Direct of Visual Merchandising. The change of pace and medium was refreshing and challenging. While with RAZ Imports we achieved some of the highest profits in the companies 40 year history.
In 2022, I began offering my experience and expertise as an independent contractor.
In 2020 I married my husband Trever, and in 2021 we made the move from Dallas,TX to Denver, CO where we now reside. We have a dog and two cats, in our free time you can find us in the mountains!
